Our Story
Builder Matchmaker was born from a shared vision between two real estate professionals and close business partners who believed families deserved a better way to navigate land, construction, financing, and homeownership.
My business partner and I began imagining a company that would help people move beyond the limitations of the traditional housing market. We wanted to connect families with land, reputable builders, financing resources, and the professional guidance needed to create homes that truly fit their lives.
During a divorce process, my business partner was tragically killed by her husband. She was a realtor, my closest business partner, and an important part of the original vision for Builder Matchmaker. As I continue building what we started, I am committed to honoring her life through work that helps women and families obtain the safety, stability, and housing options they deserve.
Our first beta client demonstrated what the Builder Matchmaker model could become. We helped identify the land, matched the family with a builder, and provided consultation regarding financing options. Their new home is now nearing completion.
That experience confirmed our purpose. Builder Matchmaker is not simply about constructing houses. It is about helping people find a path forward.
In Her Honor: The Salathia Home Fund
Her name was Salathia. She was a realtor, a co-founder of the Builder Matchmaker concept, and my closest business partner — and this fund carries her name forward inside the company we started building together.
Through our future charitable initiatives, a percentage of Builder Matchmaker company profits will support:
Women transitioning from domestic violence
Helping them move toward safety and stability with dignity.
Families purchasing and renovating affordable homes
So ownership doesn't come at the cost of livability.
Land and new homes for single mothers rebuilding their lives
Full-circle ownership for women writing a new chapter.
Every home created through this mission represents safety, ownership, possibility, and a new beginning.
How the Fund Works
Renovate to Stay Affordable
Families who purchase older or distressed homes are matched with renovation support and builder or contractor referrals — so the home stays livable and affordable rather than becoming a financial burden.
Emergency-to-Stable Bridge
In partnership with domestic violence shelters and advocacy organizations, we help move women from crisis into secured rental or transitional housing.
Land & New Build for Women in Transition
Our flagship commitment: securing land and a matched custom-home build for single mothers and domestic violence survivors — full-circle ownership, done in Salathia's name.
Housing is safety. Housing is stability.
Housing is the foundation everything else is built on — and for too many women, especially those escaping unsafe situations, it's the hardest thing to secure. Salathia believed in helping families find a better way home. This fund is how that belief continues.
